LaGatha C. Paysinger, 92, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
Mrs. Paysinger lived in the Ardmore area a majority of her life where she was a member at Elkton Methodist Church. She was an advocate for the Elkton Methodist Women Organization as well as serving as the President of the PTA of Ardmore High School. She was a lifelong supporter of education as well as St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe D. Croney and Mary Alice Rodgers Croney, as well as her husband, Robert Browning Paysinger.
She is survived by three sons; Robert (Jane) Paysinger, Jr., Jeffrey Paysinger, and Timothy Paysinger, two sisters, Betty Beggs and JoAnn Ronza, four grandchildren: Dr. Christopher (Suzanne) Paysinger, Jaffe (Christy) Paysinger, Timothy “TJ” Paysinger, JR., and Todd Paysinger, three great grandchildren; Avery Paysinger, Mason Paysinger, and Molly Paysinger, as well as her special friend and neighbor, Mr. Wesley Boone.
There will be a Visitation held for Mrs. Paysinger at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon. A Graveside Service will be held after Visitation at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee with service time beginning at 1:00 PM. Bro. Brad Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
