Laena Jo Bengtson passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024. A resident of Huntsville, Alabama since 1956, Jo was born on June 8, 1932 in Topeka, Kansas. She worked in the civil service for the United States Army on Redstone Arsenal for over thirty years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bengtson, and her son, Tommy Anderson.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Anderson and two grandchildren, Thomas Anderson and Aaron Anderson, and by three great grandchildren. She was a beloved member of her community and family. Jo will be missed.
A memorial service will be held for Jo at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society.
