Kum Cha O’Rear, age 78 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rick Sherer will officiate.
Mrs. O’Rear was preceded in death by her Son-Charles D. O’Rear, Jr.; Father-Yong Hui Shin; Mother-OK Son Choe; Sister-Young Cha Fagan; Brother-Hyok Kum Shin; Best Friend-Sue.
She is survived by her Husband-Charles D. O’Rear, Sr.; Son-James William O’Rear (Melissa Hope O’Rear); Daughter-in-law-Keri Ann O’Rear; Granddaughters-Darian Hope O’Rear and Virgina Grace O’Rear; Brothers-U Kun Shin and Nam Kun Shin; Sisters-Sak Cha Shin, Kwang Cha Shin and Tae Mun Shin.
Kum loved her two sons and daughters-in-law, she loved and adored her two granddaughters, Darian and Virgina. She was a member of Samaria Baptist Church and loved her church brothers and sisters. The three men who played an important part in her life were Brother Earl Higgens, Brother Arthur Middleton and her pastor Brother Rick Sherer, and most of all her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
