Kris was a loving husband, father, and friend who enjoyed life and spending time with family. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 456 and enjoyed his job. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours hunting deer, ducks, and fishing. Few things made him happier than being on the water or in the woods. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and being on the open road.
He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing around and joking. He found a way to have fun in all situations
Kris was proceeded in death by his parents, Luther and Ruth Brownfield, and by his stepmother Tilda Brownfield.
He is survived by his wife, of 21 years, Tammi Brownfield; his daughter, Taylor (Keagan Williamson); son, Gage; stepson, Rynn (Jessica) Rodgers. Survivors also include brothers, Steve (Debbie) Brownfield, Mike (Teresa) Brownfield, Tim (Ann) Brownfield. Nieces Nikki Brownfield and Stephanie Brownfield, Jill Blair, Amber Cothren, Megan Kincaid, Hailey and Alisha Carden. Nephews Dakota Farmer, Luke Carden, Hayden, Declan and Wyatt Holmes. Aunts Lydia Robinson and Joy Seabolt. Many cousins and friends, including Eric Seabolt.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Scottsboro Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Kent Wilborn officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
