Krista Nissi Towns, 27, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born May 21, 1996, to Herbert and Edel Eastmond Towns.
Ms. Towns loved to cook, dance, speak foreign languages, play violin and guitar, as well as sewing, playing video games, and spending time with her nephews and niece.
Ms. Towns was survived by her father and step-mother, Herbert A. Towns, Jr. and Leah Towns of Florence, Alabama; three siblings, Herbert “Herbie” A. Towns of Decatur, Alabama; Melisse Fletcher of Decatur, Alabama; and Gabriel Towns (Victoria) of Decatur, Alabama; four nephews, Jacobie Fletcher; Herbert “Junior” A. Towns, Jr.; Asher Fletcher; Nathan Towns; one niece, Elena Towns; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Ms. Towns was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her mother, Edel Towns.
There will be a Memorial Service for Ms. Towns at a later date. Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family.
