Kitty Gibson, a beloved member of her community, passed away on August 25th, 2024 in Huntsville, AL. She was born on February 11th, 1930 in Birmingham, AL
Kitty was a devoted Christian and member of the Faith Chapel Church. She was an advocate for people with disabilities and a devout supporter of the Special Olympics.
Kitty adored being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Despite facing loss with the passing of her husband A.W. Gibson and son David Gibson, Kitty remained resilient for the sake of those by her side – her children Alvin Gibson (spouse Desi) and Kay Gibson – and grandchildren Kris (Cheryl), Daniel (Amy), Amanda (Paul), Elena (Rohith), Jessica (Billy), Tyler (Zaida), and a multiple great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home Tuesday, August 27th where family and friends will gather to honor Kitty’s life. Visitation will be from10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by service 11:00. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens and lunch at Faith Chapel Church.
