Kimberly Kay Gomez Profile Photo Kimberly “Kim” Kaye Murphy Gomez, age 59, passed away on December 3, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on November 8, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Donald Ray Murphy and Carole Boattenhammer Murphy.

Kim was a radiant and vibrant soul, whose outgoing personality and genuine kindness touched everyone she met. Her warm spirit and infectious smile drew people in, but it was her compassionate heart that truly made her unforgettable. She was a natural in customer service, not merely excelling at her job but leaving lasting impressions on the hearts of those she encountered.

A devoted friend, Kim nurtured her relationships throughout life, always finding ways to stay connected no matter how much time or distance passed. Her creativity knew no bounds—she had a remarkable talent for crafting beautiful works of art and cooking meals that brought joy and comfort to those she loved.

Kim was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Kellie Murphy Connell, whose memory she carried close to her heart. She is survived by her loving parents, Don and Carole Murphy, and her cherished daughter, Amanda LeeAnn Gomez, who will forever honor her legacy of love and kindness.

Kim will be laid to rest near her sister Kellie in Murray, Kentucky, and her ashes will also be scattered under “Kellie’s tree” in the mountains near Hillsdale, New York. Additionally, a portion of her ashes will be placed over her Grandma Grace Murphy, whom she held a special affection for, in Hays, Kansas.

Kim’s light and love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

The care of Ms. Kimberly Kay Gomez and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Williams Funeral Home.
