Mrs. Kim Yvonne Mahan, age 64, of Albertville, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Kim was a compassionate soul who found joy in caring for her nieces and nephews, demonstrating a selfless devotion to her family.
Her diverse interests reflected a vibrant spirit. Kim found solace in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was the tranquility of a walk, the creativity of cross-stitching and crocheting, the expression of art through painting, or the enjoyment of various outdoor activities. Her spiritual journey was an integral part of her life, and she was an esteemed member of Bonds Chapel Holiness Church.
For 35 years, Kim shared her life with her devoted husband, Steve Mahan, who undoubtedly found immense strength and comfort in her companionship. She is also survived by her sisters, Marsha E. Satterfield and Michelle A. Bishop of Arab, and her brother, Jeffery T.W. Smith of California. Kim’s impact extended to a host of nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth and affection.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, “Marty” Mary Ellen Miller of the Grassy Community; her dad, Tom Smith; and her mom, Francis Smith of Arab.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Rocky Branch Cemetery. The honorable Bro. Verlon Willmon and Bro. Matt Long will officiate the services.
