Kim Ann DeSarro, age 51, wife of Roger DeSarro, and a resident of Antioch, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.
Kim was born on March 2, 1973, in Phoenix, Arizona, to her parents Kathy Rainwater Marckese and the late Sam Marckese. On October 9, 2010, she married Roger DeSarro, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. For thirty years, Kim dedicated herself to the healthcare profession, where her compassion and expertise touched the lives of many. Kim and Roger cherished their trips to Gatlinburg, where they delighted in the thrill of ziplining. Kim’s adventurous spirit extended to her love for motorcycle rides, finding freedom and excitement on the open road. Among Kim’s many passions, Christmas held a special place in her heart. She adored the holiday season, eagerly decorating her home with her collectible Santas. Kim found joy in her extensive collection of frog figurines and tending to her flowers. Additionally, Kim had a fondness for animals, showing kindness and affection to all creatures great and small.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by her brother, Anthony Marckese, sister, Tracy Rogers, mother and father in law, Cynthia and Dennis Atterberry, nephews, Jeremy Marckese, Bradley Atterberry, niece, Lily Atterberry, aunts and uncles, Anita & Jim Thomas and Teddy & Sno Rainwater, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl Rainwater and Mary Smith, uncle, Rick Rainwater, and aunt, Shelia Eycleshymer.
The family will celebrate her life privately. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
