SHEFFIELD – Last Saturday, Cabela’s and Crappie USA held their annual Kids Fishing Rodeo down at Sheffield’s beautiful Riverfront Park. It’s always a fun event for children 12-and-under, as well as for the grown-ups who take them down to the Tennessee River for a morning out of fishing.
Colbert County Tourism’s Executive Director, Susann Hamlin and Tourism Board Chairwoman Verna Brennan and a few others were busy cooking hot dogs, getting the kids signed-in and helping the Cabella and Crappie USA folks hand out fishing gear and bait to the eager tournament contestants.
