Kevin Richard Maurer, 45, resident of Reston, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
Kevin was born on September 7, 1977 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, to his loving parents, Richard Maurer and Margaret “Peggy” Maurer. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America in Levittown, PA for many years. Kevin was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1994, and went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, Cum Laude with a degree in computer science in 1998. He was an avid poker player, and played in the World Series of Poker numerous times. Kevin was an employee of Alarm.com in Fairfax, Virginia as a Software Engineer.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his aunts and uncles, Gina Puzo, James Puzo, Maria Vasta, Chris Puzo, Joseph Puzo, Beth Fredrickson; and many cousins, co-workers, and friends.
A Graveside Service honoring Kevin’s Life will be conducted on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Memorial Park with Joe Copolo officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
