Mr. Kevin Harden Athow, age 55, of Arab, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Athow was born on November 21, 1963 in Madison County to Adelbert Morse Athow & Helen Lucille Harden. Kevin was an Arab High School graduate and enjoyed storm chasing, NASCAR racing, and Alabama football. He was also an airplane enthusiast and never met an animal he didn’t fall in love with. He was a longtime photo journalist for both WAAY 31 and WAFF 48 news in Huntsville.
Kevin is survived by his fiancé, Pam Ashley; daughter & son-in-law, Lindsey Athow & Kevin Sullivan; grandchild, Caitlyn Sullivan; sisters, Sherrie Van Slyke (Fred); Denise Williams (Michael); brother, Keith Athow (Neal); nieces, Ashley Van Slyke, Allie Van Slyke, Kylie Williams; and nephew, Logan Suter. Preceded in death by his parents, Adelbert Morse Athow & Helen Lucille Athow.
