Kevin C. Smith was born on June 20th, 1958 in Gadsden, Alabama. He passed away at Cullman Regional Medical Center on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at age 65, surrounded by some of his loving family.
Kevin is survived by his wife Paula, mother Beatrice Smith, sisters Lorrie Vice (Dave) and Wendy Hall, niece Abigail Hall, stepsons Brian Robbins (Misty) and Micah Robbins (Carrie), six grandchildren, Amber Walker (Jeff), Candace Robbins, Blake Robbins (Madison), Nathaniel Robbins, Caleb Robbins, and Katie Robbins, his great-grandchildren Gunner and Miller Walker, and his honorary son, Allan Henderson. Kevin, also known as Papa Kev, loved life and will be much missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Cresful Smith.
Kevin was employed at Alabama Power Company for 47 years, having started there when he was 18 years old. Kevin enjoyed his job and was respected by his co-workers. He made many friends during his career there.
A memorial service will be held at Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Cordova, Alabama on Wednesday, November 22nd at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m.
