Kerri Elizabeth Skelton, 46, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Diversicare in Tupelo, MS, after an extended illness surrounded by her family.
Services celebrating Kerri’s life will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care with Bro. Steve Denton officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will follow in Gerizim Cemetery.
Kerri was born November 26, 1978, in New Albany, MS to the late Marlin Wayne Beaty and Joy Pannell Schwalenberg (Don). She was a 1997 graduate of W.P. Daniel High School, a member of Open Door Baptist Church and a cashier at the Pilot Travel Center in New Albany.
A Christian, she was a very kind and caring soul but very outspoken and never met a stranger. Her favorite past-times included sharing time with her family, eating out, old country music and she enjoyed watching Law & Order and Chicago Fire on tv. Kerri will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memories include her loving husband of nineteen years, Michael Eugene “Mike” Skelton, three daughters, Madison Skelton of Pontotoc, Ashlee Thompson of Corinth, and Lynsey Skelton of Holly Springs, her mother and step-father, Joy and Don Schwalenberg, one sister, Kimberly Beaty of Hickory Flat, one brother, Brian Beaty (Heather) of New Albany, two grandchildren, Gracelynn Elizabeth Horner and Kingston Jordan Hughes and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Marlin Wayne Beaty.
