Kenny Dale Hanvey, Florence, Alabama, departed this life Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, Florence, Alabama, at the age of 46 years, ten months, and 28 days of congestive heart failure. He was born Feb. 13, 1968, in Florence, Alabama, a son of Barbara Jean Hanback Hanvey, of Florence, Alabama, who survives, and the late Alfred Villard Hanvey.
In addition to his father, Mr. Hanvey was preceded in death by brother, Kevin Hanvey, and sister, Linda Cook.
Kenny was a truck driver and attended the Christian Faith Church in Florence, Alabama. Other than his mother, survivors include son, Kory Hanvey, and daughter, Kayla Hanvey, both of Florence, Alabama; stepson, Heath Franks, Russellville, Alabama; stepdaughter; Hope Berry, Florence, Alabama; brothers, Gary Hanvey (Rhonda), Iron City, Tennessee, and Dennis Hanvey (Sherry), Florence, Alabama; sisters, Brenda Williamson and Sherry Marks (Robert), all of Iron City, Tennessee, Donna Dillinger, (Rory), Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Angela Hanvey, Florence, Alabama; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Christian Faith Church, Florence, Alabama, with Robert Marks and Josh Hanvey officiating. Burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery , Iron City, Tennessee, with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be today, 6-9 p.m., and Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, 11 a.m. until service time at Christian Faith Church, 670 Co. Rd. 257, Florence, Alabama.
