Kenneth Woodson Roberts, 71, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born August 5, 1944, to John Woodson and Hazel O’Neal Roberts. He was a Christian and attended Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy. He was a self-employed businessman and retired from Tombigbee Electric Power Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid racer.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Bro. Ryan Napalo and Bro. Tommy Vinson officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Grant Roberts (Dana) of Mooreville; one brother, Henry Frederick “Freddy” Roberts (Tara) of Hernando; six grandchildren, Houston, Dru, Carly, Cassidy, Callie, and Brody Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hanna Roberts; one niece, Jessica Coleman (Marques) ; and one nephew, Joshua Roberts (Janean).
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Keith Roberts, on January 7, 2016; and his parents.
Pallbearers will be Steve Boyd, Sammy Holder, Andy Black, Josh Roberts, Eddie Harris, and Bobby Zaiontz. Rodney Roberts will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 29, at the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy.
