Kenneth Wayne Smith, 62, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1953, to Kennie and Evon Clippard Smith. He was an insurance salesman and a member of Lakeland Baptist Church. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the North Lee County Sportsman Club. He enjoyed collecting coins and arrowheads and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. John Corder officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Peggy Smith, of Mantachie; three daughters, Christy Smith and Lisa Stewart, both of Mantachie, and Kayla Robertson (Adam) of Hattiesburg; his grandson, David Smith; and one brother, Don Mac Smith (Suzanne) of Amory.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
