Kenneth Wayne Brothers, 70, of Guntersville, Alabama, formerly of Arab, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Brothers was born October 17, 1946 in Albertville to J.C. Brothers and Mildred Reed Brothers. He worked for Kroger’s as a produce clerk. He was a 1965 graduate of Arab High School and graduated from Alabama A&M in 1975. Mr. Brothers was married to the former Paulette Rutledge for 45 years.
He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church #1 in Albertville.
Mr. Brothers is survived by his wife of 45 years: Paulette Brothers; his son and daughter-in-law: Kane and Rebekah Brothers; granddaughter: Rebekah Kristie Brothers; nieces: Wendy Brothers Hoover, Leigh Rutledge Essig, Meagan Floyd Grubbs; great nieces: Ellie Essig and Morgan Hoover; great nephews: Jeremiah Essig, Conner Essig, Wesley Essig, Walker Hoover and Graham Hoover; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Grady Allen and Terri Rutledge and Betty Brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnny Cephus and Mildred Brothers; daughter: Kristie LeEllen Brothers; step-mom: Ann Brothers; a brother: Keith Brothers; a sister: Kathy Brothers Floyd; a nephew: Brian Nolan and a niece: Deidra Brothers.
Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jonathan Powell and Brother: Rick Douglas officiating, Eulogy by Kane Brothers. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Woody Brothers, Lynn Brothers, Danny Hawkins, Grady Allen Rutledge, Andy Hoover and Walter Hoover. Honorary Pallbearers will the Arab High Classmates of 1965.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday January 5, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
