  Kenneth Wain Leatherwood Profile PhotoKenneth Wain Leatherwood was born December 19, 1938 in Ramer, TN the son of the late Edgar Marion Leatherwood and Lennie Mae Wrenn Leatherwood Jones.

Kenneth worked for Brown Shoe Company for 10 years and for General Electric for 27 years before retiring.

His love and commitment was evident by his union with Sadie Clark on November 24, 1960. A faithful member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Ramer, Tennessee, Kenneth’s spirit was guided by faith and devotion. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.

Throughout his life, he found joy in gardening, farming, and participating in outdoor activities. In his younger years, he excelled in softball and baseball. Mr. Kenneth’s devotion to his family was evident as he wholeheartedly supported all his grandchildren in their diverse pursuits and activities.

Mr. Leatherwood departed this life on February 19, 2024 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months.

He is survived by his wife, Sadie Leatherwood of Ramer, TN; son, Jeffery Wain Leatherwood and wife Gail of Ramer, TN; daughter, Vickie Leatherwood Boyette and husband Jerry of Pocahontas, TN; a sister, Brenda Jones Cauley and husband Tom of Ramer, TN; nine grandchildren: Jonathan Wain Leatherwood and wife Amanda of Ramer, TN, Jessica Leatherwood Barker and husband Blake of Humboldt, TN, Jennifer Leatherwood Tucker and husband Colton of Medina, TN, Rebekah Lowrie Barnes and husband CJ of Ramer, TN, Emily Harris Glover and husband William of Selmer, TN, Adam Harris and wife Hailee of Carson City, NV, Olivia Harris Bankston and husband Payton of Jackson, TN, William Boyette and wife Jennifer of Tupelo, MS, Andrew Boyette and wife Paige of Boonville, MS; fifteen great grandchildren: Jayla Wilkerson, Juliet Barker, Jenevieve Barker, Josie Barker, Boston Barker, Jensen Leatherwood, Sadie Tucker, Zayden Barnes, Palmer Harris, Iyla Glover, Loraine Glover, Evelyn Boyette, Jeremiah Boyette, Branten Umfrees, Brinley Umfrees and one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Leatherwood was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Huggins and Edna Wrenn.
