Kenneth Staton, age 81, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
He was born on May 7, 1943 in Blount County, AL to Hershel and Ethel
Staton. Kenneth, known to most as “Slim”, was an Army veteran. He
retired from Scottsboro Aluminum, where he worked as a furnace
operator for many years.
Mr. Staton is survived by his sons, Ken (Dicey) Staton of Albertville
and Chris (Bandy) Staton of Scottsboro; grandchildren, Hunter Staton,
Hannah (Keegan) Allen, Stone Staton, and Gage Staton; great
grandsons, Asher, Hampton and Braylen Staton; sister, Brenda Gass;
and brother, Wayne Staton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Laverne Staton,
Novis Staton, Lowell Staton, Darrell Staton and Glenneth Staton;
sisters, Jean Sparkman and Christine Colquitt.
