Kenneth Long Kenneth Richard Long, age 65, passed away at his residence on November 6, 2020. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanton, TN. Kenneth was born on February 6, 1955 to Walter and Norma Watson Long in Haywood County. He attended Central School in Hillville and Somerville Elementary School. He graduated from Fayette Ware High School in Somerville, TN. He later attended Whiteville Vocational School where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was self-employed. He came to know the Lord as his personal Savior and was saved about two years ago. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He loved visiting his sister every week, where they talked about the Bible and old times. He loved his dogs, he loved to eat, and he enjoyed walking. He is survived by his sister, Teresa Long Pendergrast of Stanton, TN; two step-brothers, Jamie Long of Covington, TN and Tim Long of Memphis, TN; two nieces, Martha Jean Pendergrast Kirkland (Jesse) of Brownsville, TN, and Casey Long Simmons (Andrew) of Jackson, TN; one nephew, William Craig Long of Brownsville, TN; three uncles, Lawrence Watson (Mamie) of the Hillville Community, Johnny Long (Linda) of Bells, TN, and Charles Hughes of Somerville, TN; one aunt, Kathy Koering (Bill) of Dancyville, TN, and one sister-in-law, Belinda Long of Brownsville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Richard and Norma Jean Watson Long; his maternal grandparents, Joseph Lee and Martha Ellen Johnson Watson; his paternal grandparents, William Lauden and Era Emerson Long; one brother, William Lauden Long (Pete); three uncles, Sonny Watson, Billy Watson and Joseph Brian Long; three aunts, Phyllis Hughes, Ruby Lucille Long Gannon and Era Marie Long Russell; two step-brothers, Walter Richard Long, I and Michael Anthony Long and two step-sisters, Michelle Long and Beverly Louise Long. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any memorials be given to the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. All services and arrangements are under the directions of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
