Kenneth Ray Toungette, 76, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Born on December 17, 1947, in Lawrenceburg to the late Ben Perry Toungette and Etha Graves Toungette, Kenneth lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.
He was married to the love of his life, Masel Grey Toungette, for 46 years, sharing a bond that withstood the test of time until her passing. Kenneth was a hardworking mechanic, devoted to his craft for many years, but his passions extended far beyond his work. He had a deep love for the Lord and attended Gum Springs Baptist Church. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Kenneth also enjoyed dancing, which brought him great happiness throughout his life.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved children: Jeff (Tammy) Toungette of Lawrenceburg, Kim Johnson of Lawrenceburg, and Sandra Bryant of Scottsboro. He also leaves behind his brother James Perry (Susan) Toungette, and his cherished grandchildren: Jordan, Dustin, Jessica, Scott, Brooke, Amy, Beth, and Leah. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Scarlett Rae, Gracie, Hunter, Will, Gracelynn, Archer, Atticus, Zander, Maverick, Harleigh, Emma Grace, John David, and Lillian.
Kenneth is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Betty Toungette and Kathy Toungette, as well as his special friend, Betty Ringling, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear wife, Masel; sister: Brenda Toungette; and brothers: Larry Toungette and Randall Toungette.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Vanderbilt Hospital, NHC Scott Health and Rehab, Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital (Crockett), and Hospice Compassus for their compassionate care during Kenneth’s final days.
Kenneth’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
