Charles Kenneth PikeKenneth Pike, 96 years old, passed away at his home in Madison, Al with his loving daughters by his side.

He was a native of Monrovia, AL where he attended school and met the love of his life, Nellie Faye Kent. They married on December 21, 1946 and attended Mount Zion Baptist Church all of their lives. Most of all Kenneth was a proud father and faithful husband. He was a humble servant of God, a faithful prayer warrior and daily Bible reader. Kenneth was known as a man of integrity, his word and handshake were his bond. He loved serving in various leadership roles in the church and community. He will be remembered for his kindness, generous heart and baby blue eyes.

Kenneth was a lifelong Farmer, Master Carpenter and Madison County Commissioner. He never met a stranger and always had a true life experience to share.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Nellie Kent Pike; parents Richard Pike and Leona Sanderson Pike; and five siblings.
His memories will always be cherished by his adoring daughters Deborah Pike Ackert (Bob) and Donna Pike-Smith (Bobby).

Pallbearers include: Jerry Pike, Victor Pike, Ronald Parvin, Wayne Smith, James Knight and Keith Layne. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Shields, Dave Bishop, Gary Kent, Gene Kent, Buddy Brandon, JW Jenkins and Gary Knight.

His daughters are grateful to Melisa (CNA), Janet (NP) Empatia Palliative Care, Ryan (DPT) Centerwell and Lisa (RN) Gentiva Hospice Care.
Funeral services are being provided by Berryhill Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 21st at 2:00 PM at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 228 Mount Zion Rd. in Huntsville, preceded by visitation from 1:00 – 2:00.  Pastor Kevin Moore, Brother Ron Madison and Chaplain Larry Layne will be officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery.
