Kenneth Nolan Potter Kenneth Nolan Potter, devoted father and loving grandfather, age 77, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on April 13, 2024, due to complications from heart surgery.

Ken was born on March 2, 1947 to Jesse Ray Potter and Dora McAllister Potter in Guntersville, Alabama. After graduating from Guntersville High School he served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.  Ken stepped out in faith and obedience to our Father God in 1972 by accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior by baptism. Ken, then followed in his father’s footsteps beginning a career in computer science on Redstone Arsenal. Ken furthered his education throughout his career at Athens State University.  He never tired of learning and encouraged us all in the same regard.

Ken retired in 2021 from Tactical Edge to enjoy his family. He supported, encouraged, and cheered on his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors.  He was a safe harbor to us all. Ken’s delight was sports. He spent much of his time at ballparks cheering on his grandchildren.  The University of Alabama lost an avid fan. Roll Tide, Daddy!

Ken was preceded in death by both parents, his sister, Evie Kitchens, brother, Ray Potter, and baby brother, Tommy Potter.  Ken is survived by his remaining brother, Phillip Wayne Potter, three children, Tracy Alaine Potter Wood, Kristofer Neil Potter (Marie Potter), Kerri Nicole Potter Williams (Jamal Williams), nine grandchildren, Wesley and Ryan Goode; Braxton, Layla, and Maddox Williams, Brantley and Abigail Potter; Jacob Zeiher, and Brianna Reeves, and six great-grandchildren.

Please join our family in celebrating Ken’s life at Berryhill Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Diabetes Association.  Ken valiantly fought this disease to the end.
