Kenneth Marcus Westmoreland at the age of 40 died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was born July 13, 1981, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He is the son of Kenneth Dwight Westmoreland and Dr. Myra Gail Autrey. Marcus had a great sense of humor. He was a very active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism and considered those friends as a second family. Marcus had many passions in life including video games, his daily workouts at ATC fitness, and playing disc golf. He was an avid Funko Pops collector with a collection close to 400. Marcus enjoyed the culinary arts and was a staple at a few restaurants over the years including, Cracker Barrel, Sky Box, and most recently A6 where he was the Kitchen Manager.
He is survived by his mom, Dr. Gail Autry and her husband, Fred, of West Monroe, Louisiana; father, Kenneth Westmoreland of Plantersville; brother, Jonathan Westmoreland and his girlfriend, Alex Bailey of Tupelo; his girlfriend, Estelle Tuttle of Mooreville; stepbrothers, Jarred Betts and his wife, Hailey, of Tupelo, and Chase Betts of Mooreville; one niece, Jenna Morgan Westmoreland, and boyfriend, John Michael Gebhardt; paternal grandmother, Betty Westmoreland of Tupelo; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time Thursday, November 4, 2021, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Brown, Jeff Elles, John Cox, Jonathan Westmoreland, Steven Taughton, Chuck Massey, Bruce Pinkham, William Ellis, and Matthew Barber.
