With a heavy heart, we share the news of Kenneth Henson’s passing on Monday, September 11, 2023. Kenneth was a cherished husband, father, and highly respected member of his community.
He was born to Mattie and Luke Henson in 1934 and served as a medic in the Army before dedicating nearly 40 years of his life to government service.
Kenneth and his wife Wilma were blessed with a long-lasting marriage of 61 years and a beautiful family, which included 3 sons, Roger (Cindy), Mike (Melanie), and Jonathan (Staci), 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Even after his retirement, Kenneth continued to serve his community as a member of the Morgan County Schools Board of Education and a substitute teacher in both Morgan and Lawrence counties. As he grew older, he found comfort in watching his favorite TV shows and movies, including MASH, Gunsmoke, and classic John Wayne movies.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 12:00PM at Midway Memorial Gardens. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
