Pops was born November 13, 1962, in Holly Springs, MS, to the late James and Mary Jane Smith Husbands and on April 10, 1982, he married the love of his life, Glenda Barron Husbands who survives.

Pops was a Christian and his faith was in our Lord Jesus Christ.  Daddy was a prankster, enjoyed laughter, and was the life of the party.  He always enjoyed long detailed conversations about the good old days and was never one to hold a grudge.  A pool shark, he won many competitions throughout the years.  Some of his favorite things included sitting on the porch daily, camping, throwing out a fishing pole every chance he got, and riding backroads with his windows down rocking to AC DC.  taught each of us so many things that we will carry with us.  Especially his grandchildren, that was the light of his life.

Pops leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 42 years, Glenda Barron Husbands of Potts Camp, two daughters, Aimee Walton (J.R.) of Verona, Shelley Husbands White (Tommy of Potts Camp, two sons, Kenneth J. Husbands Jr. (Rashane) and Austin Husbands both of Potts Camp, one brother, Sambo Smith of Cornersville, three cousins, Carolyn Sartin (Jeff), Merl Ford and Jimmy Ford all of Potts Camp, his most precious gifts of grandchildren, Jay Won Walton of Seattle, WA, Chasity, Miracle and Kezley White Davis all of Hickory Flat, Sophia and Bentley Walton of Verona, Madison and Maliyah Brown, Hazel, Sage, Aiden, and Cordelia Husbands all of Potts Camp.  He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary Jane and James Husbands, his great grandparents, Walter and Evelyn Smith, two brothers, Lonnie and Ricky Husbands, one aunt, Dorothy Ford, his closest cousin Rick Ford, his best friend, Timothy Springer and his beloved canines Honey and Daisy.
