Kenneth Douglas Cummins Profile Photo Kenneth Douglas Cummins, age 82, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Friday evening, January 31, 2025, at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.

 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Randy Kersey officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

A native of Maury County, Kenny was born on September 10, 1942, and was the son of the late W.A. Cummins and the late Hazel Brawner Cummins. He was a graduate of Haylong High School and previously served as Fire Chief for the City of Mt. Pleasant. He was also a business owner, operating Cummins Trucking and Runway Market. On December 3, 1993, he married Betty Foshee. Kenny had a deep appreciation for NASCAR and football, but above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Kent (Kim) Cummins of Columbia, Michael (Jessica) Foshee of Culleoka, daughter in law, Christina, grandchildren, Kourtney (Mike) Dale, Kristin (Mike) Powers, Shelby (Jase) Thornton, Raegan Cummins, Ashley (Nathan) Runions, Chase (Courtney) Foshee, Collyn (Nikki) Foshee, Micailey Foshee, Jaelynn Gill, Jase Runions, Michael (Stephanie) Odom, Karissa Barnes, and great grandchildren, Maeleigh, Maklynn, Emerson, Wyatt, Jaxson, Kirklynn, Kenna, Kase, and Kaislyn.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Cummins, sister, Joyce Thompson, and great grandchild, Madilyn.

 

Those serving as pallbearers will be Chase Foshee, Collyn Foshee, Mike Thompson, Rick Thompson, Nathan Runions, and Jase Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Bailey, Johnny Whitt, Mike Dale, Mike Powers, and the staff of Caris Healthcare, with special thanks to Casey Cummins and Angela.
