Mr. Kenneth Dale Harris, age 76, of the Holly Pond community of Cullman County, Alabama passed away in the evening of Friday, May 26, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Harris was born on January 10, 1947 to George W. Harris and Joy Bell Doyle Harris. He and his loving wife, Barbara G. Hutchinson Harris, have been together for sixteen years. Mr. Harris was of the Baptist faith, a high school graduate and Army veteran. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War Era.
Kenneth was passionate about horses. He was actively involved with riding, showing and participating in all aspects of the racking horse culture. He considered the movement of a racking horse, with its single foot strike at a time on the ground, a thing of beauty. He also spent time fishing and camping and loved being with family and friends.
Family members left behind to cherish memories of Kenneth include: wife, Barbara G. Harris; daughters, Shannon Oglesby and Brena Carlson (James); sister, Peggy Bower; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 nieces, and 1 nephew.
The family has elected cremation. A private memorial and celebration of life will be held later.
