Kenneth Anderson Jex Kenneth Anderson Jex, passed away November 13, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital he was 76.Mr. Jex was born on May 24, 1947, to Leo William Jex and Leona Anderson. His stepparents are James and Pat Mckenny of Guntersville. Ken was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He taught classes at church and along with his students receiving a Certificate of Applied Self Reliance. His awards in church were, Eagle Scout duty of God, Order of Arrow, and God and Country. He served as a Scoutmaster for15 years and for 16 years taught early morning Seminary. He loved teaching about Our Heavenly Fathers plan for happiness.     Ken graduated from Marshall County High School in 1966, In school he played the snare drums in the marching band.  Ken served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1973 and was a licensed paratrooper.  Then he graduated from Alabama A&M University and the from BYU with Certificate Family History Research and served as a family consultant for the church. Kenneth was married to Polly Light Jex.    He is survived by his wife Polly and sons, Rocky of Saratoga, Utah. James (Rebecca) of Arab Will (Nikki), grandchildren Hazel, Sydney, Blaine, Levi, Gabrella, Victoria and Everett. Brothers, David (Ketta), Jerry (Vicky), Sisters; Irene (Leroy) Gale, Linda (Steve) Wright, Bonnie (Danny) Williams and Denise (Gregg) Chapman. His Motto was to “Go Forth and Serve!
A memorial service will be December 28,2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Guntersville, Al. from 2-3pm In Lu 0f Flowers: Do a good Deed.
