FLORENCE-Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteers are offering an exciting opportunity for elementary and middle school educators to expand student horizons through visual arts! This year, the Volunteers are offering Arts Education grants for art supplies, special art programs, and tuition for art camps.  Applications for the 2017-2018 school year are due by November 15, 2017.
The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteers is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that works with the Kennedy-Douglass Art Center to promote arts in the Shoals area. We hold annual fund-raising events such as Arts Alive Festival and Holly and Ivy holiday luncheons.  The proceeds from these events and other grants are used to fund educational and community projects.
Apply by going to the Kennedy-Douglass webpage at kdartcenter.org, and downloading the “Arts Education Grant Application” form.   You can use the Adobe Reader app to edit the form and submit it on-line or you can print, fill in by hand, and mail a paper copy to the Art Center. If you have questions about the process, contact the Art Center at (256) 760-6379, check our Facebook page at Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts, or email fvines@florenceal.org.
