A memorial service for Kendall Virginia Mathews, 24, of Birmingham was held Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Decatur, with Dr. Larry Little officiating and Morgan Funeral Home, Gadsden, directing. The family received friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the church.
Miss Mathews was born January 11, 1990. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jake and Elida Mathews; grandmother, Elizabeth Virginia Mathews; and cousin, Scott Lillion Hill.
Survivors include her parents, David and Jo Ann Mathews; sister, Chandler Mathews; and her grandfather, Jim Mathews, of Gadsden.
