Kelly M. Schriver – Obituary

Kelly M. Schriver, 76, of Lacey’s Spring, passed away Sunday. Mr. Schriver was a native of Kansas and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1956. He proudly served eight years in the active Army, with two tours overseas, one in Germany and one in Vietnam. He served an additional four years in the Army Reserves.

Mr. Schriver came to the Huntsville area with Boeing in 1964 as an Electronic Research Technician on the Saturn V program. He moved to SCI, Inc. in 1971 and retired in 2001. Mr. Schriver was a life member of VFW Post 2702 in Huntsville, and was a patron member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty L. Schriver; daughter, Laura K. Herron and husband, Shawn of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Zachariah and Abigail Herron of Oklahoma City, OK; mother-in-law, Frances Herbien, of Lacey’s Spring, and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 in the chapel with Pastor Derald Johnson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NRA-ILA.
