Keith “Weezer” Luna, 51, lifetime resident of Ripley, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, January 29, 2024.
Funeral arrangements honoring the life of Keith will be Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 11AM, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Wilbanks officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 5PM until 8PM at Ripley Funeral Home and Thursday until time of service. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Born in Ripley on February 17, 1972, Keith was the son of the late Ricky Lee and Mary Sue Street Luna. He was a 1991 graduate of Falkner High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. After college he worked in management for Shoney’s Restaurant for many years. For the past 20 years he was the office manager for Luna Bro’s Auto Sales.
A Christian and member of First Apostolic Church, he will be remembered for his love for the Lord, fun-loving kind heart, and his contagious laugh. Keith had a passion for writing. He published a book and had many poems he has written over the years. He could tell you a story that would make you think you were one of the characters. Some of his favorite past times include cooking out for his family, going to movies, being the best brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Keith’s sweet personality, sunny disposition, and selflessness will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memories include one sister, Lesley Hancock (Mike) of Ripley, one brother, Robert Michael Luna of Ripley, two nieces, Brittney Hancock and Santana Collins, six nephews, Christopher and Austin Hancock, Tucker Collins, Gage Luna, Jonathan Estes, three great nieces, Indi Mae, Audrey, Adailine Grey, two Great Nephews, Zachary and Alias Kaden, two uncles, Eddie Luna (Kathy) and Timmy Luna (Melissa) and his two loyal canine companions, Precious and Baby.
