Kay E. Stoudnour

Kay E. Stoudnour,87, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at
Decatur Morgan Hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday, July
26, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Decatur, Alabama with
Pastor Aaron Kretzschmar presiding. The service will begin at
11:00 A.M. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Kay
was cremated and will be placed beside his loving wife Mary
Jeanne.
He is survived by his three daughters, Mary Kay Hodges and
husband Glenn, Tracy Stoudnour, and Rebecca King. He also has
two grandsons Nicholas Hodges and Noah King. He also has
nieces, nephews, and cousins across Pennsylvania and Vermont.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jeanne
Stoudnour, parents Raymond and Faith, and one brother, Darryl.
Kay was born in Frankstown, Pennsylvania. Kay graduated from
Hollidaysburg High School. He served in the Navy for three
years and the Reserve for two years. He transferred from
Buffalo, New York with Dunlop Tire and Rubber in 1969; from
which he retired many years later. He was a lifelong member of
St. Paul’s Lutheran church, where he and Mary Jeanne both were
active members for their entire lives. He loved race cars,
woodworking, and gardening. He coached multiple sports for his
daughters and other youth in Decatur. His favorite pastime was
spending time with his grandsons, Nick and Noah. He was a
loving son, father, and Pap.
