Mrs. Kay DeVone, age 73, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 in Nashville. She was born December 9, 1950 in Memphis to the late J. B. and Jean Teague Johnson. She was a retired secretary for the State of Tennessee. Mrs. DeVone loved to travel, enjoyed reading, and was always making people laugh. She loved her grandchildren dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bennie DeVone and her brother, Tony Johnson.
Survivors include her son, Brandon Austin; three daughters, Antonia Willis (Stacy), Jennifer Foster (Blake), and Shawna Jarvis; four sisters, Doris Foster (Charles), Cheryl Mercer (Dale), Peggy Johnson, and Judy Eason; six grandchildren, Jace Willis, Chloe Foster, Ruby Kay Reed, Johnathan Jarvis, Bella Jarvis, and Ally Carter; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2024 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 4 – 9 PM and on Thursday, 10 AM – 2 PM.
