Katrina Lynee’ Lindley – Obituary

Katrina Lynee’ Lindley died September 15, 2013. She was born November 29, 1954, in Cullman. She was a 1978 graduate of UAB and spent 18 years of her professional career at United Space Boosters, Inc. where she was a Technical Editor during the height of the space shuttle development and operation.

She took great pride in her years of tutoring at Challenger Middle School and Terry Heights Elementary, especially the last six working with fourth graders who had reading challenges. She was also an enthusiastic volunteer for the Burritt Museum.

Katrina was a devout member of Willowbrook Baptist Church where she was active with Sisters and Servants ministry.

Survivors include her parents, Fred and Melba Lindley of Hartselle; sisters, Marne Greer (Larry) of Huntsville and Sonya Ward (John) of Diller, Nebraska; nieces, Nicole Cribbs and Rebecca Greer and nephews, Justin Cribbs and Joseph Ward.

Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jack M. Redfearn Jr. officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to For Life Ministries, Kids to Love Foundation or Manna House of Huntsville.
