Kathy Yvonne Pounders, age 73, of Hamilton, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo.
She was born in Alabama on Wednesday, August 09, 1950, to Hubert Cochran and Nola McCarley Cochran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Pounders; parents, Hubert and Nola (McCarley) Cochran; nephew, Brent Ballard.
Kathy is survived by two sons, Barry Pounders (wife, Dorothy), Kevin Pounders; her grandchild, Brayden Pounders; brother, Anthony Cochran; sisters, Barbara Cochran, Linda Ballard, Hilda Emerson, Frances Barnwell; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be 12 -2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Marion County Funeral Home, the service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Terry Parrish officiating. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
