Mrs. 61, Florence went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2012.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the burial following in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Brother Wayne Fleming and Brother Jim Thacker.
Mrs. Stanley is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Christine Wilkinson, brothers, Howard, Jimmy, Ronnie, and Mike Wilkinson.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Billy Stanley of Florence, daughter, Tammy, son-in-law Charles, and grandson Austin Bailes of Killen, sisters, Sandra Wilkinson of Florence, Elaine Grigsby(Gary) of Greenhill, and brother Robert Wilkinson Jr. of Florence.
Kathy was a member of Family Worship Center in Tuscumbia and so thankful for her church family. Kathy was an angel on earth and her faith and loving spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her positive outlook on life. She devoted her life to taking care of others and being a true Christian example. She will be forever loved and missed until we reunite again in heaven.
Chris Wilkinson, Jake Wilkinson, Justin Wilkinson, Shawn Wilkinson, Waymon Wilkinson, and Gary Grigsby will serve as pallbearers.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Northwest Alabama Cancer Center and Hospice of the Shoals, especially Kaye and Lisa for their loving care.
