Born in Athens to Clarence and Katie Dement Elmore, Kathy attended Athens High School where she was a member of the marching band and graduated in the class of 1963. After high school, Kathy was employed by the U.S. Army Missile Command where she was recognized for her outstanding work in the stenographer pool.
She married the love of her life, Billy D. Mullins, in July of 1971 and became a homemaker as she devoted her life to the raising of her three children. Kathy’s unwavering support of her children saw her serving as Cub Scout Den Leader, Football/Baseball/Softball/Basketball mom and Band Booster for her beloved West Limestone High School Marching Band.
Kathy loved all things Alabama Football (especially the Bear and Gene Stallings), and her Atlanta Braves. Most of all, she loved her family.
Many thanks to her doctors, nurses, and staff who have taken such good care of her over the last year. A special thank you from the family to Limestone Nursing and Rehab, and Hospice of Limestone County for all the love and compassion shown to Mom during her time in their care.
Flowers are welcome. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
