Funeral Services for Mrs. Kathy M. Headrick, age 65 of Lineville, will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Claude Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Headrick passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Clay County Hospital. She was born in Anniston, but lived most of her life in Clay County. She was primarily a housewife, worked for the Piggly Wiggly and other grocery stores. She also was an administrative assistant and truck driver for Wellborn Cabinets for several years. Mrs. Headrick enjoyed arts crafts, including painting, drawing, and wood burning, and keeping up with her ancestry heritage. She was described as a people person, family oriented and outgoing, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was spiritual, and Woman of Faith.
Mrs. Headrick is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ray Headrick of Lineville; two daughters: Cherie Stevenson (Lee) of Jacksonville and Rheamie Knight (Travis) of Dentville, MS; two sons: Jason Headrick (Tina) of Lineville and Jarrod Headrick (Shirley) of Ohatchee; numerous grandchildren; one sister, Teresa Scott of Lineville; two brothers: Larry Smith (Sabrina) of Lineville and Roy Smith (Jodie) of Durango, CO, plus other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Alfred Smith and Farella Smith Burgess.
Active Pallbearers will be Dexter Headrick, Sawyer Headrick, Dustin King, Ethan Knight, Alston Carroll, Evan Keller, and Bruce Boyd.
Her visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
