Kathy Lorraine Shoemake McCarver, 61 of Jasper, TN, passed away at home on September 20, 2021.
She was born on September 4, 1960, and grew up in New Hope Tennessee, where she attended church with her family at Long Island Baptist Church. She attended South Pittsburg High School and graduated as a Registered Nurse from Northeast Alabama Community College of Nursing in the early 90’s. Kathy was an outstanding nurse and served the patients of North Jackson Nursing Home and Rivermont Nursing Home for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Crownover; mother Bonnie Eloise Caves Shoemake; and sister Sandra (James) Graham.
She is survived by her sons Kerry Miller; Billy Lee Garret (Carrie) McCarver; and Triston (Tabitha) McCarver; grandchildren: Garret (Kade) McCarver; Elizebeth McCarver; Emily McCarver; Ryder Lynch; and Isaac Uhey; siblings: Dale (Shelia) Shoemake, Dean Shoemake, and Joyce (Benny) Berry; a host of nieces and nephews; and her beloved four legged companion, Moo.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and from Thursday 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. David Marona officiating. Interment will be in the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Long Island/Bryant, AL.
