Kathy (Kat) McClain was a free-spirited soul that had such a giving heart. She was sensitive and had creative ways of finding how to make others feel special. She was a collector of trinkets and antiques and could always find something unique that reminded her of the ones she loved. Kathy was born September 7th, 1959, in Corinth, MS to Will Dee and Wanda McClain. She was the mother of Macy, of whom she was so proud. In her early years she traveled working construction and waitressing. If you knew Kat, you know she was one of a kind and her energetic presence lit up the room. She adored her mother and family and could not wait until the day she got to see her brother and father in heaven. Kathy cherished her great niece and nephews and always bragged about them. Kat enjoyed watching “her shows” and was a lifetime animal lover who always had dogs and cats. Her closest people will miss her phone check-ins and quirky personality.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Wanda McClain, her daughter Macy (Michael) Ruffino, her sister, Loretta McClain, her nieces, Chanda (Andy) Davis and Callie (Mark) Allison, great niece, Kenli Bingham, and great nephews, Aidan and Cooper Davis and Cates Allison. Kathy was proceeded in death by her father, Will Dee, and brother, Michael McClain.
