Kathy Joann Brooks, 63, longtime resident of Falkner, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 16, 2022, following an extended illness.
Born December 9, 1959, in Tippah County, Ms. Kathy the daughter of the late Darrell and Ruth Brown Hopkins. She was a graduate of Falkner High School and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Northwest Community College.
A Christian, Ms. Kathy will be remembered for her spunky personality and her love of cooking which included her famous gravy and biscuits. Her favorite past times included dancing, auctions, and trips to Tunica and always enjoying a diet coke and wearing a friendly smile,
Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Tonya Eaton (Michael), Amy Joshlin (Tate), one son, Justin Brooks (Carolyn) all of Falkner, one sister, Polly Shelby (Vincent) of Tiplersville, fourteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister Linda Hopkins, two brothers, Tony Hopkins and Tommy Hopkins.
