Kathy Jean (Bynum) Cooner, age 67 of Cordova, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at UAB Hospital.
She worked at Walker Baptist Hospital for 35 years and later volunteered there also. She played the piano at and sung at several churches around Walker County.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at New Prospect Cemetery. Darryle Wilson and Sharron Pruden will officiate.
She is survived by her Husband of 47 years-William “Bill” Cooner; Sons-Michael Cooner (Jill) and Matthew Cooner (Amanda); Grandchildren-Hunter, Emily, Hannah, Parker, Hayden and Landon Cooner; Brothers-Harmon Jr. Bynum (Lovenia) and Wallace Bynum (Donna); Sister-in-law-Brenda Stewart (Kenneth); Brother-in-law-Tim Cooner (Tina); Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Parents-Harmon Sr. and Nelda Jean Bynum and other loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Stewart, Tim Cooner, Hershell Cooner, Larry Hyche, Jamie Woodley and Clay Gardner.
