Kathy Echols Gower, 71 of Meridianville, passed away 1/28/2021 at Huntsville Hospital Family Hospice Care. Kathy was a native of Huntsville, a graduate of Lee High School, and a member of the East Huntsville church of Christ. She was a DoD retiree and always took great pride in supporting the war fighter. She had a great love for God, her country, and her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, riding the side by side with her sweetheart Keith, cooking and baking, and working at the election polls during voting season.
Our Mom was a very loving, kind, special kind of friend. Her heart was filled with love and compassion on everyone. Her loss has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was known by all for her love and devotion to God, her loving nature towards her children, grandchildren, husband, and everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Powell, parents Howard and Imogene Echols, sister Sherry Echols, brother Richard Echols, and niece Erica Echols.
She is survived by her husband Keith Gower, daughter Olivia Cole, son Jason (Tina) Powell, daughter Shirley (Tim) Childers, son Ken (Regina) Gower, grandchildren Jed Powell, Frankie Cole, Carsyn Cole, Matthew Kelley, Hali Powell, Kaitlyn Kelley, and Brandon (Camille) Childers, brother Eddie Echols and sister-in-love Sandra Echols She is also survived by her special sister-cousin Teresa Portzer, and a host of cousins, nieces, and grandnieces and grandnephews, family, and friends.

We will have a graveside funeral at Plainview Cemetery on Sunday, January 31 at 3PM. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask. Mark Stephens and Bill Cantrell will officiate.
