Kathryn “Kathy” M. Potts – Obituary

Mrs. Kathryn “Kathy” M. Potts, age 52, wife of Randy Potts, and a resident of Winning Drive in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her residence.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Mylen Coble and Rev. Kenny Anderson officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7PM and again on Friday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on March 18, 1965 in Columbia, Kathy was the daughter of the late John Collins and the late Desdie Cravey Collins. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and married Randy Potts on January 11, 1985. She was a member of Viola Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Kathy also enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended family and will be deeply missed.

 

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her son: Randy Potts, Jr. of Columbia; daughter: Courtney Potts of Columbia; and sisters: Malinda “Dawn” Collins of Mt. Pleasant and Claudia (Daniel) Jones of Lewisburg.

 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Tina Louise Collins.

 

Pallbearers will be: Phil Mash, Randy Uzell, Nick Andrews, Ricky Jones, Johnny Burgess, and Ryan Slaughter.
