Mrs. Kathryn Jones Futrell, 93, a native of Lauderdale County, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Shoals Hospital after an extended illness. She was a lifetime member of the O.E.S. #195, Alamance Chapter NSDAR, Florence Chapter UDC, and retired from the Lauderdale County Library System.
Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carey Collum officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Futrell was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Futrell; parents, Clarence C. and Kate McPeters Jones; brother, Clarence C. Jones, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Kitty Cox (Victor) of Florence; three nephews and one niece.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
