Kathryn Ann McCormack, 41, was unexpectedly found dead due to a heart attack on May 24, 2023. She is survived by her mother, Mary McCormack, her sister and brother-in-law Meredith and Levi Woodson, and her beloved fur kid Sadie. She was preceded in death by her father, Preston J. (Jim) McCormack.
Kathryn will live on in the memories of the many young students she taught and nannied for during her life. Nothing made her happier than to be in a kindergarten classroom surrounded by eager students she could help to learn and grow. Known to her family and close friends as ‘Katie’, college friends as ‘Kat’, and professionally as Kathryn, she leaves many shocked and saddened people bereft by her loss.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 2300 Beasley Avenue NW, Huntsville at a date and time to be determined soon. Any friend or coworker wishing to share (in any format) memories of this kind and loving soul at the Service would be appreciated. Donations in her memory to any local dog rescue organization, Holy Family School or 57 North Hampton would be welcomed.
