Mrs. Kathleen Keller Thomas  Mrs. Kathleen Keller Thomas, 91, of Scottsboro Al. passed away peacefully at Barfield Health Care Facility on Thursday, December 26, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved her church, Calvary Baptist of Scottsboro, where she had been an active member until her health declined. She for many years taught the 4yr old pre-school Sunday School and was also the director of that age group. She loved her Savior Jesus and made it known to many in her last years, she wanted to go to Heaven.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah Thomas Forrest (Larry); granddaughter, Teresa Forrest Hancock (Jeff); great grandchildren, Laura Beth Hancock McClendon (Drake) and Forrest Hancock; nephew, Jimbo Keller; niece, Julie Keller Ritter and several great nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mack Thomas, father, John Keller and mother, Gertie Garner Keller, brother, James Keller and sister-in-law Nellie Eakin Keller.

The family would like to thank Merrell Gardens of Madison and Barfield of Guntersville for the love and care they provided over the years, and in her final days.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 1pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Garner and Dr. Matt Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11am-1pm at the funeral home.
